Quick answers, and a real person if you need one.

How does Hourally work?

Pick a time (1, 3, 5, 10 or 12 minutes) and the apps that pull you away. Every one of those apps gets that much time each hour. When an app's time is used up, it's blocked until the next hour starts, right on the hour. With Hourally Plus, you can also give each app its own time.

Can I give each app a different time?

Yes, with Hourally Plus. In setup, tap Set by app under the minutes (or By app on step 2) and pick 1, 3, 5, 10 or 12 minutes for each app. Apps you don't change keep your usual time. Later, tap any app on the dashboard to change its time. The new time starts at the next hour, so the hour you're in stays as it is.

What's the difference between Locked and Flexible?

Locked holds your plan: once it's on, changes wait for your daily 5-minute unlock window, so a weak moment can't undo it. Flexible lets you change or turn off Hourally anytime. Pick whichever fits you. You can switch later.

What's the unlock window?

In Locked mode, you choose a time of day (many people pick a time they're asleep, like 2:00 AM). For 5 minutes at that time, you can change your setup or turn Hourally off.

Why can't I delete apps or change my clock?

While Hourally is Locked, it keeps those doors closed so the plan can't be bypassed. They open again when you turn Hourally off during your unlock window.

Can I make Locked even stronger?

Yes. In iPhone Settings → Screen Time, turn on a Screen Time passcode and have someone you trust set it, like a partner or friend. Then Hourally can't be switched off in Settings without them.

How do I turn Hourally off?

In Flexible mode, tap the ••• button on the dashboard, then Turn Off. In Locked mode, open Hourally during your unlock window and tap Turn Off.

Why do I see a quote when an app is blocked?

When an app's time is up, Hourally shows a classic quote on a fresh color, from people like Seneca, Benjamin Franklin and Goethe. A blocked app keeps its quote for the hour. The next app, or the next hour, brings a new one.

What is Closed Till Midnight?

A Hourally Plus feature for when you're done for the day. Tap Closed Till Midnight on the dashboard and confirm, and every app you chose stays blocked until 12:00 AM. There's no undo: changing your setup, turning Hourally off and the unlock window all wait until midnight. At 12:00 AM everything goes back to your regular hourly minutes on its own.

What is Hourally Plus?

The free version covers 2 apps. Hourally Plus gives every app its own time, covers up to 20 apps, categories and websites, and adds Closed Till Midnight. It's available monthly or yearly (the yearly plan starts with a free trial for new subscribers).

How do I cancel or restore my subscription?

To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Hourally Plus. To restore on a new phone, open the Hourally Plus screen and tap Restore.

Hourally stopped working

Make sure Hourally still has Screen Time access: Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access. If it was switched off, open Hourally and tap Turn Hourally Back On.
