Privacy Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
The short version
Hourally has no accounts, and it can't see which apps you choose. Your Screen Time information, like how many minutes each app has used, stays on your iPhone and is never sent to us, Meta or anyone else. To see which of our ads bring people to Hourally, the app includes Meta's measurement software, which sends Meta things like when Hourally is installed or opened. If you allow tracking, that includes your device's advertising identifier. It's your choice, and Hourally works the same either way. We also use RevenueCat to keep track of Hourally Plus purchases.
Screen Time information
Hourally uses Apple's Screen Time technology (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) to limit the apps you choose. When you pick apps, Apple gives Hourally private tokens instead of app names, so Hourally itself can't see which apps you chose or what you do in them. Apple shows the names and icons on your screen.
To show how much time each app has left this hour, Hourally keeps a count of minutes used, and the time you set for each app, on your iPhone. Hourally never sends this anywhere, and it isn't shared with Meta or anyone else. It's deleted when you delete Hourally.
Advertising and measurement
We may advertise Hourally on Meta's apps, like Facebook and Instagram. To see which ads work, Hourally includes Meta's app events software (the Meta SDK). It sends Meta information such as:
- When Hourally is installed and opened, and how long it stays open
- Basic device information, like your iPhone model, iOS version, language, time zone and IP address
- A random ID that Meta's software creates for Hourally on your iPhone
- Hourally Plus purchases, like starting a free trial or subscribing, with the plan and price (never your name or payment details)
- Error reports if Meta's software runs into a problem
Hourally asks once whether it may track, and Meta's software waits for your answer before sending anything. (If you've turned off tracking requests in Settings, iOS answers no for you.) If you tap Allow, Meta also receives your device's advertising identifier. Meta may combine this information with information from other apps and websites, and use it to measure ads and to choose and show ads, including ads from other businesses. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, Meta doesn't get the advertising identifier, and Apple's rules don't allow this information to be used to track you.
Your choices
- Change your answer anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Hourally works exactly the same either way.
- Choose how Meta uses activity from other apps and websites for ads in the Ad preferences of Meta's Accounts Center.
- Learn more about choices for interest-based ads at aboutads.info/choices and, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
Meta handles what it receives under its own policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy. Apart from Meta and RevenueCat, as described here, we don't share your information with anyone, unless the law requires it.
Purchases
Hourally Plus subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your name, email or payment details. Apple tells the app which plan you have and when it renews or ends, so Hourally can unlock Plus. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings.
To keep track of Hourally Plus, Hourally includes RevenueCat's software. When you start a free trial, subscribe or restore a purchase, it sends RevenueCat the purchase details Apple provides, like the plan, price, dates and a transaction number, along with a random ID that RevenueCat's software creates for Hourally on your iPhone and basic device information, like your iOS version, app version, language and IP address. Apple also tells RevenueCat when a subscription renews, ends or is refunded. This shows us how Hourally is doing, like how many people start a trial or stay subscribed. RevenueCat handles this information for us as our service provider, and it never receives your name, email, payment details or Screen Time information.
What Hourally never collects
- Your name, email, phone number or contacts (unless you email us)
- Your precise location
- Your browsing history
- Which apps you choose, or how long you use them (that stays on your iPhone)
Our website
hourally.com has no ads, cookies or analytics. Like most websites, our web host may keep basic server logs, such as IP addresses, and the App Store button is loaded from Apple. Because the website doesn't track visitors, a browser's Do Not Track setting doesn't change anything there.
Deleting your data
Hourally has no accounts, and the app doesn't send your information to us. Apart from emails you send us, we don't keep information about you. Deleting Hourally removes everything Hourally stored on your iPhone. To see or clear what apps like Hourally shared with Meta, open Meta's Accounts Center and go to Your information and permissions → Your activity off Meta technologies. To have your emails with us, or your purchase records at RevenueCat, deleted, or for help with any of this, email us.
Contacting us
If you email us for support, we use your email only to reply to you, and we don't share it with anyone.
Children
Hourally is designed for people managing their own iPhone and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has used Hourally, email us and we'll help.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
